LOCAL AUTHOR JACK LONDON:
Having written articles for numerous professional journals, Texas native and Austin attorney Jack London has turned his attention to historical fiction.  Published in February 2009, Virginia's War:  Tierra, Texas 1944  is the first book in his World War II trilogy French Letters.  Since hitting the bookshelves, it has  been nominated by the Anderson Foundation for "Best Novel of the South" and the Military Writers Society of America for "Best Historical Fiction of the Year,” earning second and third place respectively.  This Spring, it was a semi-finalist in the OmniLit All Romance competition for Best Unusual Romance.  Click here to read a review of Virginia's War.
 
Mr. London graduated from West Texas State University and the University of Texas Law School. An historian as well as a lawyer, he was an officer in the Quartermaster Corps of the United States Army and has traveled extensively.
